As of this writing, we are 23 days into this year’s legislative session, with 82 days to go. Although the Legislature has made substantial progress on housing over the last couple of years, it continues to look for additional legislative fixes to solve Washington’s housing crisis. Let’s take a look at some of this year’s bills and where they stand.
HB 1164 - Expanding UGAs
You read that correctly. There is a bill in the Legislature that would require the expansion of Urban Growth Areas (UGAs).
