This episode was recorded before the Legislature approved SB 6120 in 2024, amending certain requirements for the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) and allowing cities and counties to adopt localized wildfire risk maps. This eliminates some of the conflicts between landscaping and WUI that were intimated in David’s answer.
